The Right Moment isn't Found, its Worn.

Why do we always wait for the right time to wear the perfect dress? Well, it's common to sit and wait for the perfect time. Truly, there may never be a perfect time. We get told our whole lives that everything you want will come… just wait for it, but what happens when you're waiting and waiting and nothing is there. I don't believe that timing is everything, I believe in you the willingness to put yourself out there and work for it. Life shouldn't pass by waiting around for the right time.

I often see videos online of people getting dressed up to just go to Target or run errands. There’s something to be said about being put together for normal everyday errands. It makes you feel good and productive! Don’t let those “new” clothes you bought two years ago make their way to the back of your closet. Embrace your sense of fashion and show it off. You never know, someone just might ask where your top is from.

Naturally, you hear the phrase “time is slipping away” or “time flys”, and its true time really does fly when you're busy with life, work, and school. It feels like just yesterday I was a senior in high school and now I am a senior in college trying to figure out my next plans. That's what makes it scary, we have one life to fit everything in. When I get intimidated by a goal or dream I have, I think to myself, we have one life, the worst that can happen is failure or a smidge of embarrassment. The best part of that is, you live and you learn.

As I sit on my front porch at my college house I think about the time when I was little and saying “all I want is to grow up”. Now I find myself thinking “I want this to last forever”. I sometimes wonder why our brains think this way. We constantly want to move on to the next chapter of our lives so much that we almost miss the one we are currently living in.

There are two sides to this story. One is saying “timing is everything” the other is saying “timing is not everything”. I once saw a quote online that read “you can’t add more days to your life, but you can add more life to your days.” So, go out and about, wear that favorite outfit, and feel good! Don’t wait for the perfect moment, BE the perfect moment.
